About The Position

Performs computed tomography procedures at a technical level requiring limited supervision of technical detail. Performs a variety of technical procedures utilizing existing standards as a guide. Demonstrates the ability to utilize independent judgment in the completion of routine exams procedures. Assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required in conjunction with a C.T. Supervisor, or in the absence of a supervisor, and may be assigned station fill position within other areas of the department. Provides direction to C.T. Tech(s) I. Can and will take call duty within assigned area as required. Assures compliance to all, state, JCAHO, ODH and other regulatory bodies through an ongoing review of required documentation and system analysis. Recognizes the purpose of employment is to prioritize the patient as number one, and to put forth the utmost quality as a technologist, and understanding that negative interactions with any customer, either internal or external, will not betolerated.

Requirements

• High school graduate.
• Completion of a formal Radiologic technology training program in an A.M.A. approved school specializing in Radiologic Technology.
• Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiology and CT sub-specialty.
• Must possess current Ohio License within area of assignment.
• Minimum of one year clinical C.T. Experience.
• Must be registered in the C.T. sub specialty by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
• Must possess a thorough knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and related physiology required and demonstrate the clinical skills to function independently, and to take Call Duty within the division.
• BLS provider or obtain within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties pertinent to practice area in C.T. including patient education and consent.
• Insure accurate physician orders.
• Performs the clinical functions of C.T. Technologist II including performing optimum results with minimum Radiation Administration of contrast material.
• Practices sterile technique and assisting in Radiologist procedures.
• Performs clerical/support functions including accurately competing information in Radiology System and PACS.
• Performs additional responsibilities including coordinating procedures with other departments, supply levels and appearance of department.
• Demonstrates Quality Assurance in job performance including maintaining QA program turnaround change and process of QA.
