Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare staff.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency in medical terminology, aseptic techniques, and basic patient monitoring
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds (e.g., supplies, assisting with patient transfers), and perform tasks requiring fine motor skills (e.g., IV starts, equipment adjustments).

Nice To Haves

  • associate’s degree or coursework in healthcare related fields preferred
  • Preference given to candidates pursuing or planning to enroll in an accredited radiography program within 12-24 months, though not required, to support career progression.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting (e.g., medical assistant, patient care technician, or imaging aide) preferred
  • prior experience in diagnostic imaging or high-acuity environments strongly preferred
  • familiarity with imaging workflows or contrast administration protocols is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Prepares CT examination rooms by ensuring cleanliness, sterilizing surfaces, and setting up equipment as directed by licensed CT Technologists.
  • Stocks linens, contrast agents, IV supplies, and other materials to maintain operation efficiency in CT suites.
  • Assists with patient transport to and from CT suites, coordinating with other departments to minimize wait times.
  • Supports patient positioning for CT procedures under the direct supervision of a licensed technologist, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
  • Assists with starting intravenous (IV) lines for contrast administration, following strict protocols and under direct supervision of qualified personnel.
  • Completes basic documentation, such as logging patient arrivals or procedure times, and provides reports to the supervising technologists after each patient interaction.
  • Maintains a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks in CT suites and patient areas.
