About The Position

The CT Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Computed Tomography (CT) department, ensuring high-quality diagnostic imaging, patient safety, efficient workflow, regulatory compliance, and effective staff performance. The supervisor provides clinical and operational leadership to CT technologists and support staff. Other duties include, but are not limited to, the following essential job functions.

Requirements

Associate or bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field, as required by the employer
Current New York State ARRT certification in Radiography
Current New York State Radiologic Technologist license.
Current AHA BLS
Previous experience working as a radiologic technologist.
Strong knowledge of diagnostic CT procedures, radiation safety, and quality assurance.
Excellent communication, organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

Previous supervisory experience preferred.
Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Oversee and coordinate daily operations across two diagnostic imaging locations
Act as a key liaison between Radiologists and staff to address quality, safety, and protocol improvements
Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nursing staff, and other departments to improve patient care and workflow
Review and maintain appropriate staffing levels
Monitor inventory and order supplies to support uninterrupted operations
Investigate and help resolve patient concerns in a timely, compassionate manner
Monitor patient flow, exam turnaround times, productivity, and overall department efficiency.
Coordinate equipment maintenance and promptly address technical issues
Perform CT technologist duties when necessary based on department needs.
Train, orient, mentor, and evaluate CT technologists and other department personnel.
