Requirements
- ARRT(R)(CT) certification or NMTCB(CT)
- State License in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology if applicable
- Must have BLS certification
Nice To Haves
- At least three years of diagnostic imaging experience is preferred
Responsibilities
- Produces high quality CT diagnostic images from a remote location with the help of a Virtual Tech Assistant or registered XR or CT technologists in need of training.
- Assure patient safety by adhering to company policies and established protocols.
- Ensure release of patient with proper follow-up information via the Virtual Tech Assistant.
- Produce high quality images in a timely manner while providing excellent patient care.
- Monitor patient's well-being during scans via cameras and through feedback from Virtual Tech Assistant; recognize patient discomfort or medical problems and take appropriate action.
- Assures patient safety by reviewing screening for implants with the Virtual Tech Assistant prior to the patient entering the CT room using time out procedure.
- Demonstrates good judgment when correlating patient history and scanning protocols. Knows when to divert from routine scans and/or when to enlist assistance from radiologist to achieve high quality diagnostic images.
- Will remotely perform scans on multiple CT scanners simultaneously in some instances.
- Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients.
