About The Position

This is a 12-week contract position for a CT Scan Technologist in Hackensack, NJ. The role involves performing CT imaging procedures, managing patient documentation, administering contrast media, and ensuring image quality. The position requires adherence to hospital safety standards and radiology protocols. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Active New Jersey DEP Diagnostic Radiography License.
  • ARRT (R) certification required.
  • Current BLS (AHA) certification required.
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and CT imaging techniques.
  • Proficiency with PACS systems.
  • Ability to meet physical demands of the position.
  • Ability to work every third weekend and holidays as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • ARRT (CT) certification.
  • CT imaging experience.
  • Experience with EPIC, PACS, HIS, or RIS systems.
  • Knowledge of CT hardware and software systems.

Responsibilities

  • Perform CT imaging procedures and protocols.
  • Review patient history and ensure accurate documentation in PACS and EPIC.
  • Prepare and verify contrast questionnaires with patients and families.
  • Administer or assist with contrast media according to physician orders.
  • Verify imaging orders and coordinate with radiologists when clarification is needed.
  • Obtain and manage prior imaging studies for comparison.
  • Position and prepare patients for CT examinations.
  • Perform IV access, venipuncture, and monitor contrast administration.
  • Monitor patients for adverse reactions during and after procedures.
  • Ensure image quality, accuracy, and proper patient identification.
  • Educate patients regarding procedures and provide instructions.
  • Follow hospital safety standards, radiology protocols, and department policies.
  • Assist with patient movement, lifting, and positioning as required.
