About The Position

ChristianaCare West Grove location is currently recruiting for a Full-Time CT Scan Technologist I. Shift: 7:30a - 4p and other hours as needed. Weekends as required.

Requirements

Completion of a two-year program in Radiologic Technology is required.
Completion of ARRT registry in CT scan required (achieved within two years of hire).
State Licensure on Radiation Protection is as required.
Completion of formal and/or on the job training on cross sectional anatomy.
Certification in CPR.
Yearly PEEPS certification required for proper and safe positioning and transfer of patients.
Completion of IV training course.
State Licensure on Radiation Protection if applicable
The successful completion of the CT Registry exam is a job requirement.
Completion of IV training course.

Nice To Haves

An associate’s degree is preferred for this position.

Responsibilities

Demonstrates complete knowledge and proficiency in the use of CT Scanner Units, radiology supported computer systems and CD Burners.
Performs CT procedures and quality control as defined by department guidelines.
Maintains compliance with local, state, and federal regulations in ACR and state licenses.
Complies with Joint Commission regulations.
Completes all technical assigned imaging and non-imaging procedures in the designated scheduled times.
Enters accurate patient study information into the clinical care systems.
Assist with the coordination of workflow and patient care activities.
Obtain clinical history regarding reason for examination and obtains appropriate consent.
Verifies insurance pre-authorization as defined by departmental protocols prior to scanning patient.
Uses 3 patient identifiers at all times
Maintains patient confidentiality.
