About The Position

SIMEDHealth is seeking a full-time, on-site Radiology Technologist for its busy Gainesville Imaging clinic in Gainesville, Florida. The role involves providing safe, compassionate patient care and performing CT and general radiography procedures. The department is high-energy and high-volume, so candidates should be comfortable working in a similar setting. Direct patient care and the use of on-site medical equipment make remote work unavailable. General operating hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Evenings and weekends are not available. J-1/H-1B visa sponsorship is not available.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Current Florida general radiographer license.
BLS/CPR certification.
One to two years of experience in a radiology/imaging department, medical office, or hospital setting.
One year of previous general radiographer experience.
Previous electronic medical record experience.
Ability to bend, push, pull, and lift 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

AA/AS degree.
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification/license.

Responsibilities

Perform quality control and tube warm-up for CT/MRI.
Monitor film badges monthly to ensure employee safety.
Perform CT and other general radiograph exams according to physician orders.
Assist in obtaining CT/MRI and other radiography reports and ensure they are entered into the patient's electronic medical record.
Order and stock required supplies.
Review equipment maintenance schedules and request service as needed.
Ensure the room and equipment are in proper order for the next day's business.
Follow patient and staff safety policies and procedures.
Demonstrate exceptional customer service.
