About The Position

Performs CT scanning examinations, contributing to the efficient operation of the department and promoting the philosophy, to ensure the quality and continuity of patient care.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program
Certification by the American Registry of Radiology Technologists in Radiography Technology and/or CT Technology
Ability to operate CT equipment
Ability to manage patients during radiology procedure
Knowledge of exams using contrast agents
Knowledge of radiographic equipment
Knowledge of radiation safety
Ability to follow oral and written instructions
Ability to communicate with patients, visitors and employees within the organization
Ability to concentrate on fine detail with constant interruption
Ability to attend to tasks for 20-45 minutes at a time
Ability to understand and relate to the concepts behind specific ideas
Ability to remember multiple tasks given to self and others over long periods of time
Ability to communicate verbally, using advanced level of vocabulary
Interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively with patients and families of all age groups, all radiology/nuclear medicine staff, referring physicians and residents, nursing scheduling, patient escort services and administration
Ability to maintain confidential information
Ability to constantly lift objects heavier than 50 lb.
Perform difficult manipulative skills and hand-eye coordination skills
Walk and stand for prolonged periods

Hear normal sounds with some background noises
Adjust to performing routine, repetitive tasks without specific supervision
