About The Position

The CT/MRI Tech performs both CT and MRI examinations on a daily rotation. The role operates Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and Computed Tomography (CT) equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images for medical interpretation. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There is currently no call or holiday work; these arrangements are subject to change. The technologist acquires images according to established protocols and physician orders, performs basic image processing, assists radiologists and physicians with image interpretation, and positions and instructs patients to support image quality and minimize motion artifacts.

Requirements

Associate degree or higher from an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Military training graduate of a JRCERT-accredited program may substitute for the associate degree requirement.
ARRT registry in Radiography (R).
Obtain ARRT registry in CT and/or MRI within one year of hire date.
Current license with the Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy.
Basic Life Support certification.

Experience working as a CT and/or MRI Technologist in a hospital or medical imaging facility.

Responsibilities

Operate CT and MRI equipment to acquire high-quality diagnostic images according to established protocols and physician orders.
Perform basic image processing, including windowing, reconstruction, and multiplanar reformatting, to enhance visualization of anatomical structures and abnormalities.
Assist radiologists and physicians in image interpretation.
Position patients appropriately on the examination table and instruct them to remain still during examinations to minimize motion artifacts.
