About The Position

Provides diagnostic imaging services to patients using various imaging modalities. Ensures accurate image acquisition, patient safety, and optimal patient care while prioritizing patient education by clearly explaining procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age (21 for positions requiring driving, with a valid driver’s license).
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must successfully pass a background check.
  • Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and breath alcohol test (if applicable).
  • Must complete an Employee Health meeting prior to starting employment.
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
  • ARRT registration in Radiology (R), along with Computed Tomography (CT) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI).
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or must obtain within 90 days of hire or transfer).

Nice To Haves

  • Two (2) years prior experience as a practicing Radiologic Technologist in CT and MRI.
  • Cross-trained in other modalities, including DEXA and Mammography.
  • Experience with electronic records, including PACS and RIS/HIS.

Responsibilities

  • Performs MRI procedures at a technological level in accordance with established protocols.
  • Demonstrates advanced knowledge in radiographic procedures, including X-ray and Fluoroscopy, with C-arm and operating room work.
  • Practices radiation safety while adhering to ALARA standards.
  • Operates equipment in accordance with manufacturer’s recommendations.
  • Troubleshoots equipment issues and contacts a service engineer for necessary outside maintenance.
  • Maintains accurate patient records in electronic health records (EHR), including charge documentation for procedures and supplies.
  • May perform additional duties as required and will receive necessary training.
  • Demonstrates flexibility by assisting in other modalities and adjusting schedules as needed.
  • Orders, stocks, and maintains supply inventory.
  • Assists, trains, or cross-trains imaging staff as directed.
  • Maintains self-motivation and utilizes independent judgment with minimal supervision.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, maintaining adherence to departmental and federal standards.
  • Follows infection control, safety, and risk management procedures to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
