About The Position

This is a Community Service Work Study student employment position. Applicants must have Federal Work Study funds in their Financial Aid package. Support young, preschool children (under the age of 5) from refugee backgrounds by fostering early exposure to English in a caring, play-based environment. This role combines language engagement, creative play, and cultural sensitivity to help children feel comfortable and supported while their parents participate in resettlement activities or appointments.

Requirements

• Must have Federal Work Study fund in Financial Aid Package
• Must be able to work in-person at Catholic Charities office
• Must be available Wednesdays 9:30am to 12:30pm.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience working with people who don’t speak English as their primary language
• Previous experience working with children
• Speaks Dari or Pashto
