About The Position
This is a Full Time, Day shift position for a CST at PUTNAM COUNTY HOSPITAL in GREENCASTLE, IN. The role involves assisting the surgical team with preparing the operating room, ensuring equipment and sterile instruments are ready, and maintaining a sterile field. The CST will also need knowledge of surgical procedures, specimen preparation, instrument cleaning and sterilization, sterile technique, and assembling sterile instrument trays. Other duties as assigned are also part of the role.
Requirements
- Valid CST Certificate
- BLS Certification
- ASN degree from surgical technology
- 18+ years of age
Responsibilities
- Assist surgical team with preparing room for surgery
- Prepare equipment and sterile instruments
- Maintain sterile field
- Knowledge of surgical procedures
