About The Position

This position is for a Client Services Representative at Riviere Insurance Agency. The role involves providing customer service, processing insurance applications and changes, and working with insurance carriers to obtain quotes and bind policies. The representative will also follow up on claims, process new and renewal business, and attend training and meetings. Cross-training for other duties, including switchboard operation, may be required.

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Customer Services Skills
• Computer experience with knowledge of Microsoft Office systems
• Louisiana Property and Casualty Insurance License, either currently held or willing and able to obtain within one year of employment
• Ability to communicate effectively with others
• Successfully perform quality work within deadlines with or without supervision.
• Interact professionally with other employees, customers and contacts.
• Work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments.
• Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous and competent customer service in person, by phone, email or other means.
• Complete and process insurance applications.
• Exchange information from customers with insurance carriers in order to obtain quotes from the insurers of terms and premiums, and then bind insurance policies.
• Process customers’ requests for changes in coverage.
• Follow up on all insurance claims until closed.
• Process new and renewal business.
• Attend training, meetings and seminars as requested.
• Cross train for others’ duties, including switchboard.
• Other duties as assigned.
