The Credit Specialist II – ICRE position is responsible for managing a commercial real estate loan portfolio of secured loans. The secured loans are collateralized by various property types (multi-family, industrial, office, retail, and self-storage). This Credit Specialist will review potential loan transactions to determine if the transaction meets TD’s credit appetite while also underwriting loans for approval. This role will also review loan documents to ensure TD’s loan documentation standards are being met, and the loan approval is being properly documented. This role will also build and maintain productive relationships with all business partners within TD Bank while ensuring annual reviews are completed on time and financial covenants are tested on a timely basis. Lastly, this individual will review construction inspection reports to track construction progress and make recommendations on construction loan advances. The CSB Credit Specialist II is responsible for ensuring quality and compliance within an assigned portfolio, supporting new business development while applying credit risk policy and adhering to TDBG risk appetite. The CSB Credit Specialist II performs the credit underwriting and credit administration functions. The CSB Credit Specialist II works to achieve credit management objectives within the team. The job works closely with the Relationship Manager and Credit Officer to ensure consistency with the TD Bank Groups Risk Appetite Principles, including establishing the Borrower Risk Ratings and Facility Risk Ratings for new and existing credit relationships.
