CS SPD Sterile Processing Services Assistant

The Central Service/Sterile Processing Department (CS/SPD) plays a key role in how our operating rooms care for our patients as a whole team relies on these caregivers to successfully set up the operating room. As a CS/SPD Services Assistant, you will be responsible for testing equipment, running diagnostics, pulling case carts, putting away surgical supplies and providing dispatch services. A caregiver in this role works evenings from 2:00 p.m. – 10:30 p.m. or 3:00 p.m. – 11:30 p.m. with rotating holiday requirements.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to multi-task and demonstrate proficiency in reading and writing

Responsibilities
- Run daily diagnostic reports and conduct equipment tests.
- Retrieve pull sheets and follow step-by-step instructions when pulling and recording case carts.
- Sock and rotate supplies and equipment.
- Deliver, retrieve and return case carts and other supplies to designated areas.
- Transport instruments and supplies to required locations within the facility.
- Utilize tracking systems to monitor and manage the location and status of instrument sets.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the department's operational needs.
