About The Position

As a Cryptologic Computer Scientist, Level 3 at Independent Software, you will apply advanced computer science and software engineering expertise to complex mission challenges. You will develop and analyze software, conduct reverse engineering and vulnerability research, and work with cloud technologies to support mission requirements. This role requires a strong technical foundation and the ability to independently research, develop, and implement solutions in a mission-focused environment.

  • Strong programming and software development skills
  • Knowledge of algorithms, data structures, computer architecture, and computer science fundamentals
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to independently research and solve complex technical problems
  • Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a closely related field
  • Degree coursework must include at least one programming course and four upper-level mathematics courses at the Calculus level or higher
  • Relevant experience must include at least one of the following: Theoretical or applied computer science, Modeling or simulation development, Algorithm analysis, design, or evaluation, Reverse engineering, Vulnerability research or exploitation, Computer Network Operations (CNO) support, Design, development, or evaluation of computer or information systems, Development of software, scripts, tools, or operational capabilities supporting cyber, cryptologic, or intelligence missions
  • Must possess an active TS SCI with appropriate Polygraph to be considered for this role

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with CNO tools and operational support is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain software solutions supporting mission requirements
  • Perform reverse engineering and technical analysis of software and systems
  • Conduct vulnerability research to identify and analyze potential weaknesses
  • Develop tools, scripts, and software capabilities to support technical operations
  • Apply computer science principles to complex analytical and engineering problems
  • Work with cloud technologies and cloud-based environments
  • Analyze software behavior, system functionality, and technical data
  • Develop and evaluate algorithms and technical solutions
  • Document technical methodologies, findings, and solutions
  • Collaborate with technical and mission teams to support operational objectives
