About The Position

This position involves the operation of a variety of Heavy Equipment, i.e., Front-end Loaders, Dozers, Skid Steers, and Aggregate Plants. The role requires performing preventative maintenance on crushing, washing, and other aggregate equipment, operating front-end loaders to ensure aggregate plants are efficiently supplied and running, and loading dump trucks. The operator will also be responsible for greasing loaders and conveyors, maintaining safety in the aggregate site and during equipment operation, attending educational seminars, and keeping the work area clean.

Requirements

Current employees must attend an annual 8 hour MSHA refresher course.
New employees must complete 24 hours of new miner training.
New employees with mining experience more than two years prior to hire, must complete 12 hours of experienced miner training.

Responsibilities

Preventative maintenance of all crushing, washing and other aggregate equipment.
Operate front-end loaders, keeping aggregate plants filled with the proper materials and running efficiently.
Load dump trucks.
Operate various types of heavy equipment used in the crushing & screening of aggregate.
Drive off-road vehicles and loaders.
Perform preventative maintenance of all production and off-road equipment.
Grease loaders and conveyors.
Maintain safety in aggregate site and equipment operation.
Attend educational seminars and achieve industry standards.
Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
Do clean up around Crushing, Washing and Screening Plant.
Adhere to all MSHA and Company safety rules.
