About The Position

This position involves the operation of a variety of Heavy Equipment, i.e., Front-end Loaders, Dozers, Skid Steers, and Aggregate Plants. The role requires performing preventative and emergency maintenance on crushing, washing, and other aggregate equipment. Operators are responsible for keeping aggregate plants filled with the proper materials and running efficiently, as well as loading dump trucks. This is a mobile crew position requiring travel and overnight stays near job sites for several days at a time. The operator must provide their own transportation to job sites.

Requirements

High School Diploma/GED
Heavy Equipment Operation experience
Mechanical ability for general maintenance purposes
Must provide own transportation to job sites

Nice To Haves

Attend an annual 8-hour MSHA refresher course.
New employees must complete 24 hours of new miner training.
New employees with mining experience greater than two years prior to hire must complete 12 hours of experienced miner training.

Responsibilities

Preventative maintenance of all crushing, washing and other aggregate equipment.
Operate front-end loaders, keeping aggregate plants filled with the proper materials and running efficiently.
Load dump trucks.
Operate various types of heavy equipment used in the crushing & screening of aggregates.
Operate off-road vehicles and loaders.
Perform emergency maintenance and troubleshooting when necessary, such as: welding, replacing parts, hoses and filters.
Weld and cut on equipment when necessary.
Maintain safety in aggregate site and equipment operation.
Attend educational seminars and achieve industry standards.
Maintain a clean an orderly work area.
Adhere to all MSHA and Company safety rules.
Own and maintain hand tools used for maintenance.
