About The Position

The Company B2Gold is a responsible international senior gold producer headquartered in Vancouver, Canada. Founded in 2007, today, B2Gold has operating gold mines in Mali, Namibia and the Philippines, the Goose Project under construction in northern Canada, and numerous development and exploration projects in various countries including Mali, Colombia and Finland. Position Crusher Operator, Nunavut Location and Reporting Structure Reporting to the Supervisor, Crusher, this position will be a fly in- fly out 3x3 rotation based in Nunavut, Canada.

Requirements

Five (5) years of experience operating heavy equipment such as Mobile Crushers, Excavators, and/or Loaders (or related role) in mining environment required.
Valid driver’s license with preference given to those with Class 3 or higher.

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
Experience working in a remote camp setting with limited access to resources is an asset.

Responsibilities

Operation of Loader or Excavator to feed mobile crusher/ wash plant.
The safe and efficient operation of mobile crushers, screeners, conveyor systems for construction materials production from the open pit operations.
Conduct pre-trip inspections of equipment and report any deficiencies to supervisor. Aid in the overall maintenance of equipment as necessary.
Provide effective documentation of work completed and other required documentation to supervisor.
Maintain clear communication across site teams of plant operations.
The safe and efficient operation of mobile equipment on plant property (loaders, water trucks, etc.).
The safe and efficient operation of wash plants to ensure quality control.
Report issues regarding quality, safety, maintenance, and production to supervisor as required.
Maintain cleanliness of plant work areas to ensure areas are hazard free.
The safe and efficient transportation of materials from different areas of the site as needed.
Participate in daily safety toolbox talks to promote compliance with B2Gold Nunavut’s safety policies and procedures.
