About The Position

As a Crusher Ground Person at Coeur Rochester, you will help maintain the flow of materials through the crushing circuit while supporting efficient and safe operations. The role involves operating the crusher system, monitoring conveying and crushing equipment, performing cleanup and minor maintenance, and working with the team to optimize production. The work takes place in a dynamic industrial environment and requires adherence to safety procedures. Approximately 80% of the work is outdoors.

Requirements

• Work as a team member and communicate openly with others.
• Be self-directed and able to take a leadership role on projects.
• Stop work when safety concerns arise and follow safety best practices, policies, and procedures.
• Rotate work assignments to maintain training.
• Use a respirator as required.
• Follow safety procedures and measures, including those for confined spaces and working at heights.
• Work in all conditions and environments; approximately 80% of the job is outdoors.
• Occasionally lift up to 65 pounds.
• Walk up and down slopes and uneven ground daily.
• Travel up and down stairs regularly.

Responsibilities

• Operate the crusher system.
• Clean the crusher area, including hand shoveling, operating a skid steer, and using compressed air.
• Perform day-to-day inspections, monitoring, and maintenance of the Three-Stage Crushing Facilities.
• Operate the panel board to control conveying, crushing, and sizing ore for leaching.
• Notify maintenance and loading personnel of delays or malfunctions.
• Perform minor and preventive maintenance on the crushing system.
• Operate heavy equipment as needed to clean up and feed the crushing system.
