About The Position

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and rebuilding various types of heavy machinery including crushers, SAG and ball mills, conveyors, belt feeders, hydraulic systems, pumps, and pipefitting. The role requires a commitment to continuous learning and skill development through on-the-job experience and studies. The technician must be capable of multitasking, assisting other maintenance technicians, and prioritizing personal and coworker safety. A key aspect of the role is to learn new processes and share knowledge to foster team improvement, while performing other assigned duties in alignment with KGHM's values.

Requirements

• A valid Driver’s License.
• A High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Good written and verbal skills.
• Positive attitude.
• Ability to prioritize, self-start and work under limited supervision.
• Strong Mechanical abilities.
• Troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and understand schematics, service manuals and parts books.
• Ability to operate all shop tools and equipment.
• Ability to use atmospheric testing equipment (MX4).
• Successful completion of a pre-employment physical, including drug and alcohol testing.

Nice To Haves

• Minimum of three (3) years related experience in Mill Maintenance.
• Basic competency in personal computer operation.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to learn new software.

• Availability to work Crusher & Mill outages.
• Actively engage in learning the Crushing circuit.
• Work to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Assist Maintenance Technicians in identifying & remediating mechanical issues.
• Willingness to perform other duties as necessary to ensure the success of KGHM.
