About The Position

Fisher Industries is seeking an experienced Crusher Laborer/Wash Plant Operator. This role involves general laborer duties at the operation, including service work on equipment and grounds keeping. The position will primarily function as a Crusher Laborer but will also assist in backing up Wash Plant Operators. This is a safety-sensitive position that requires travel throughout Arizona.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
Acceptable MVR in accordance with Fisher's Company Vehicle Program policy.
M.S.H.A. certificate part 46 or 48 or willingness to obtain certification (company will pay for certification).
Basic knowledge of welding and using a cutting torch.
Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug test.
Ability to complete work tasks under various adverse weather conditions (heat above 100 degrees, cold, rain, snow).
Ability to operate equipment in adverse weather conditions and on steep and rough terrains.
Ability to repeatedly walk up and down steep and rough terrain carrying construction materials.
Punctuality.
Must be a team player who is willing and able to learn.
Must be able to lift up to 80 lbs.
Travel will be required.

Nice To Haves

Background in operating other heavy equipment, loaders, dozer and excavators is helpful.

Responsibilities

Assists crew leader/operator with operation of crusher, maintaining awareness of surroundings and reporting any problems.
Works cautiously to promote a safe environment at crusher sites.
Remains alert for hazards involved in crusher operation and observes MSHA and operating rules and regulations.
Complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards of safety.
Assists with setup and tear down of plants.
Performs general maintenance, inspects, repairs, and services equipment and plant as required or directed by supervisor.
Greases machinery weekly.
Cleans debris from conveyor belt and around machinery.
Uses a shovel to move material.
Runs equipment and loads when necessary.
Performs pre-shift inspections on equipment prior to startup.
Performs general labor duties, including service work on equipment and grounds keeping.
Performs other duties as assigned and assists other craft workers.
