The Crude Oil Scheduling & Marketing Analyst will execute daily crude oil scheduling activities across truck, rail, and pipeline movements in the Rockies region, ensuring compliance with contracts, nominations, and operational constraints. This role involves coordinating directly with producers, purchasers, pipelines, carriers, terminals, and railroads to confirm volumes, timing, quality, and delivery locations. The analyst will monitor nominations, confirmations, and actuals, proactively resolving scheduling variances, delays, or disruptions. Additionally, they will track and manage storage balances, linefill positions, and in-transit volumes to avoid imbalances, penalties, or unnecessary costs. This position serves as a primary point of contact for movement status updates and execution issues, requiring clear and confident communication with commercial and operational teams. The role also includes reconciling tickets, meter statements, and movement records for accurate volume actualization, supporting month-end close and settlement processes by delivering timely shipment data, and building analytical tools to evaluate logistics costs, execution efficiency, and scheduling performance.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications; experience building analytical models and operational tools.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with internal teams and external counterparties.
  • Willingness to work after hours, weekends, and holidays as required by 24/7 crude oil operations.

Responsibilities

  • Execute daily crude oil scheduling activities across truck, rail, and pipeline movements in the Rockies region, ensuring compliance with contracts, nominations, and operational constraints.
