About The Position

SGI, in partnership with Crown Investments Corporation, is offering the Crown Career Pathways Indigenous Internship program. This paid, one-year internship is designed for individuals of Indigenous ancestry who have graduated from Saskatchewan post-secondary institutions within the past two years. The program provides hands-on experience, meaningful work, mentorship, and the opportunity to build a career at SGI. SGI fosters a culture of inclusion, safety, value, and respect, aiming to reflect the diverse communities it serves. This initiative is a response to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s Call to Action #92, promoting employment for Indigenous peoples. The internship offers various roles across different divisions, including Auto Fund, Claims, Facilities, Marketing, Finance, Salvage, HR, and IT, allowing interns to find a position that aligns with their skills and interests.

Requirements

Self-identify as First Nations, Inuit, or Métis.
Be a Saskatchewan resident.
Have completed an undergraduate or graduate credential (certificate, diploma, or degree) from a Saskatchewan post-secondary institution recognized by the Government of Saskatchewan within the past two years; or be within four (4) months of completing your credential.
Have completed a field of study relevant to SGI's work, such as Business, Social Sciences, Math and Applied Sciences, Information Technology, Health, or the Trades.
Eagerness to bring knowledge to SGI.
Attention to detail.
Ability to set priorities for various tasks.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desire to use leadership skills to support SGI’s culture and enhance learning.
