About The Position

CACI is seeking a CrossBeam Product Line Product Director (Executive Director), Optical Communications division who will provide leadership in our flagship space optical communications product portfolio, reporting to the Vice President of Optical Communications. CACI’s optical communications technologies help customers move mission-critical through space. The Executive Director will lead the most advanced free-space optical laser communication solutions available today.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 15 years' experience in program leadership and customer facing engagement in aerospace and/or defense product development and manufacturing.
  • Proven experience leading a high-tech development and manufacturing teams.
  • Working knowledge of DoD and/or Federal procurement practices.
  • Must show experience managing large diverse teams of employees, complex programs and portfolios, managing customer and employee expectations; and driving creative solutions to meet or resolve operational issues.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills and the ability to work collegially as a contributing member of a strong leadership team.
  • Ability to setup and drive customer meetings, work with capture teams to negotiate agreements and partnerships with competitors, drive solutions and pricing strategies; build and sustain favorable customer relationships.
  • Experience working in a matrix organization and managing direct and indirect structures.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all aspects of the CrossBeam product family, CACI’s flagship line of small, lightweight optical communications terminals.
  • Deliver to the CrossBeam production schedules, and to deliver year-over-year growth in the product family market space.
  • Actively driving and participating in new business pursuits to accelerate portfolio growth.
  • Executing and delivering significant backlog on time and at budget.
  • Oversee the efforts of engineers, production staff, and program managers.
  • Establish and cultivate strong internal and external relationships focused on success of the CrossBeam enterprise.
  • Assessing technology and capability gaps along with identifying innovative solutions to address them, develop technology roadmaps, identify and manage technical investments needed to grow the business, engage on program growth and new business capture activities, establish relationships with strategic partners, and help to identify and cultivate technical talent within the organization.
  • Meeting and exceeding all CrossBeam production commitments quarter over quarter and year over year.
  • Leading the development of the annual operating and capital plans and budgets.
  • Nurturing, developing, and introducing technical innovations in professional practices and striving to assure consistent excellence in customer support.
  • Assessing future needs, trends, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Ensuring that the organization is structured and staffed to fully meet the needs of its respective business and clients and ensure the retention of the latter and generate optimum revenues and profit to CACI.
  • Fully accountable for the performance of his/her organization.
  • Responsible for all aspects of people leadership and management within his/her organization.
