About The Position

Firm Risk Management (FRM) supports Morgan Stanley to achieve its business goals by partnering with business units across the Firm to realize efficient risk-adjusted returns, acting as a strategic advisor to the Board and protecting the Firm from exposure to losses as a result of credit, market, liquidity, operational, model and other risks. The role will reside within the EMEA Firm Risk Managements Cross-Risk Projects Management Group. The EMEA Cross-Risk Projects Management Group has the responsibility to lead the delivery of key regulatory-focused and strategic initiatives/projects, with a particular focus on projects that span across risk pillars (Market Risk, Credit Risk and Liquidity Risk), multiple divisions within the Firm and various regulatory jurisdictions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Experience in project managing and delivering strategic or regulatory projects
  • The ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of stakeholders, both written and verbally
  • An interest in working in a fast-paced environment, often balancing multiple high priority deliverables
  • Confidence to take ideas forward and to challenge others, where appropriate, with experience in management by influence, facilitating and gaining consensus
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to provide information in usable formats (proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word)
  • The ability to work independently in a self-directed way in a collaborative, team-oriented environment

Responsibilities

  • Support the project management of key regulatory and risk management projects, to ensure appropriate and timely closure of remediation plans
  • Support the execution of risk projects, including developing project plans, driving delivery and highlighting relevant risks and issues
  • Contribute to senior stakeholder management and project reporting in governance committees
  • Documentation of business requirements in partnership with clients as appropriate
  • Creating concise and effective presentations for senior management on project updates and regulator-ready materials
