About The Position

Eaton’s ES GEIS CHD division is currently seeking a Cross Functional Warehouse. This position is based at our Syracuse, NY location. The hourly rate for this position is $22.52 per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least 6 months of forklift experience
  • Must have fork truck experience

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year of Manufacturing experience
  • 1 year of forklift experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform all required duties to receive, check, count, weigh, store, transport, select, transport and deliver diverse supplies, raw materials, machined parts, assemblies, bar stock, and stock material as well as pack or ship goods as required or directed.
  • Operate stock platform truck, gas or electric forklift trucks, or hand truck as required in performance of duties such as loading and unloading of trailers as required to receive, accumulate, store and dispense materials.
  • Perform all required duties to pack and prepare for shipments of a variety of goods including operating shrink wrap equipment to ensure that material shipped is undamaged in shipment.
  • Cut bar stock to required lengths using power or hand equipment such as shears, band saws, etc.
  • Perform a variety of related or associated duties, including those of a clerical nature such as taking cycle counts, keeping stock records, or taking inventory, as required or directed.
  • Complete daily maintenance to fork trucks including checking and replenishing oil, gas and water, hook up battery to charger, change LP gas tanks, etc.
  • Report all unusual conditions such as defects, receiving orders that are missing, finished goods paperwork that is missing, accidents or damage to appropriate supervision.
  • Perform daily maintenance to fork trucks including check and replenish oil, gas and water, hook up battery to charger, change LP gas tanks, etc. Load and unload trailers, reconcile receiving reports to count of incoming goods and report discrepancies to Supply Chain Analyst.
  • Transport material to designated areas and drop, separate or place per established procedures.
