Requirements

  • 1+ years Experience in H-E-B Store operations - Required
  • Knowledge of computer systems (Symbol, ACR, label machine) - Required
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills - Required
  • Verbal / written communication and reading skills - Required
  • Planning and organizing skills - Required
  • Ability to adapt quickly to performing a wide range of duties across multiple departments - Required
  • Ability to work well independently - Required
  • Strong eye for detail - Required
  • HS Diploma or GED or equivalent - Required
  • Completion of Company Orientation and Safety Training - Required

Responsibilities

  • Provides excellent customer service; answers customer questions regarding products, take orders, assists with product selection
  • Performs stocking and replenishment, product returns and rotation, product selection, service support, receiving and inventory accuracy, and additional duties across total Store, in multiple departments
  • Complies with Store and department SOPs, policies, and applicable laws
  • Gains knowledge of multiple departments; applies understanding of processes / policies
  • Uses suggestive selling techniques to meet customer needs and build department sales
  • Works a flexible schedule to accommodate shifts of different departments
  • For the Service cross functional team, works as a Checker when not performing Cross Functional duties
  • Receives / ensures accuracy of all incoming loads (H-E-B, DSD)
  • Ensures communication of vendor stock conditions / levels to appropriate parties
  • Can step in in absence of the Lead; may train Partners on the team
  • Perform duties in technical or perishable areas such as bakery, floral, market, etc. and operate power equipment
  • Performs Cross Functional Rep duties as needed
  • Ensures compliance with departmental / Store SOPs for food safety and sanitation; ensures compliance with receiving-related guidelines / SOPs
  • Properly operates and maintains all equipment
