About The Position

Edgewater Federal Solutions is currently seeking a Cross Domain Print Engineer. You will be responsible for maintaining, documenting, upgrading, and patching the cross-domain printing and file transfer systems within the FBI. Support is not required to be vendor specific but should include a strong background and skills in with both Windows and Linux printing services and have extensive hands-on expertise of Trusted Print Delivery and Trusted Gateway Services from manufacturers such as Forcepoint, BAE, and Lockheed. The Contractor shall possess skills and knowledge in Red Hat Linux, SE Linux, VI editor, Cross Domain Controlled Interfaces, Automation and Scripting tools and command line. The Contractor shall provide engineering, integration, and O&M services for all ITB owned and supported cross domain solutions, to include the trusted guard, as well as the ingress and egress components such as servers. This is onsite in either Pocatello, ID or in Huntsville, AL. We are only considering candidates with a current Top Secret clearance.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred and a minimum of 8 years’ experience of Linux and Cross Domain knowledge.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Top Secret clearance.
  • Willing to sit for a SCI-CI Poly.
  • Linux Professional Certification (LPIC) or higher Red Hat Certified Administrator (RCSA)
  • Strong background and skills in both Windows and Linux printing services.
  • Extensive hands-on expertise of Trusted Print Delivery and Trusted Gateway Services from manufacturers such as Forcepoint, BAE, and Lockheed.
  • Skills and knowledge in Red Hat Linux, SE Linux, VI editor, Cross Domain Controlled Interfaces, Automation and Scripting tools and command line.

Responsibilities

  • Engineer and configure data routes between various domains with varying classification levels and ensuring security of data.
  • Ensure the daily operations of the cross-domain environment.
  • Carry out all component patching, maintenance and upgrades and ensure any changes are documented and verify any changes do not introduce any new operational or vulnerability issues.
  • Provide documentation on the current and planned configuration of the cross-domain environment.
  • Assist with system accreditations and resolve security vulnerabilities, findings, or mitigate concerns.
  • Engineer, design, install, implement, and configure as well as ongoing integration and support of the Unix/Linux Infrastructure.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for Cross Domain environments which may consist of Windows and Linux based operating systems to include Red Hat, AIX, Solaris, or CentOS.
  • Create and maintain bare-metal and virtual machines with the appropriate distribution of Linux and network configuration, using tools that include Satellite Server, and BigFix.
  • Possess excellent knowledge base in DNS, DHCP, LDAP, SMTP, and integration with Windows to solve technical and functional issues.
  • Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies.
  • Provide 4th level support.
  • Ensure technical documentation exists for all systems and is kept up to date to include inventory and patch levels of all systems to include hostnames, property numbers, IP addresses, enclave, number of cores, number of processors, admin passwords, certificates, and service accounts on a monthly interval.
