About The Position

Trolley House Refreshments, the convenience services division of Trolley Hospitality Companies, is seeking a Cross Dock Driver to join their team. This role involves driving a 26' box truck to transport vending, fresh, and frozen food products between warehouses and kitchens in Richmond and Chesapeake. The driver will be responsible for loading and unloading products, managing returns, and ensuring timely deliveries. The position may also include occasional warehouse duties such as picking, packing, and restocking inventory. Requirements

  • 2+ years experience driving a 26' box truck or similar vehicle
  • Valid driver's license (standard operator's license, CDL not required) - REAL ID REQUIRED WITHIN 30 DAYS OF HIRE
  • Minimum of five (5) years safe driving experience
  • Experience operating two or four wheeled hand-truck and pallet jack
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds while loading and unloading product
  • Able to bend, walk, twist, lift, and sit for long periods of time
  • Ability to work in tandem with a cross dock driving team buddy
  • Available to work a Sunday - Thursday schedule from 2:00pm to 10:00pm

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with electric pallet jack a plus

Responsibilities

  • Start the day in the Richmond warehouse, securing deliveries and loading the truck with vending, fresh and frozen food products for Chesapeake routes.
  • Drive products to the Chesapeake Cross Dock warehouse and offload them into the storage area and cooler.
  • Retrieve empty trays, totes, pallets, etc., and load them in the truck, along with any money or packages collected by the routes.
  • Drive remaining products to the Gourmet Gang location and offload them into the kitchen storage area.
  • Retrieve up to 3 different fresh food deliveries to be circled back to the Richmond location, as well as any remaining empty trays, totes, pallets, or packages.
  • Return to the Richmond warehouse and offload all items in their appropriate storage areas.
  • Clean out the truck nightly and park the truck for the next day.
  • Perform occasional warehouse picking and packing of product, restocking shelves and fridges/freezers with new inventory, and breaking down boxes.
