About The Position

This is a float CRNA position covering Clare, Gladwin, and West Branch facilities. The primary work location will be Clare, with no obstetrical call required. The role involves a 1-hour response time for calls related to Clare, with a 1:3 call rotation including 1-2 holidays annually. Weeknight calls extend until 11 PM, and weekend calls run from 7 AM to 11 PM. The position is under an independent model and utilizes the EPIC EMR system. Responsibilities include a range of cases such as scopes, routine laparoscopic abdominal procedures, ophthalmology, podiatry, orthopedics, vascular, and cardiology procedures (TEEs and cardioversions). Competency in general anesthesia, MAC, and regional anesthesia techniques is required, with optional skill refreshers available. The role also involves supporting ward and emergency department needs, including IV access and airway management.

Requirements

  • ACLS certification
  • PALS certification
  • BLS certification
  • Evidence of administering CRNA-related services to a minimum of 75 patients over the preceding 12 months.
  • Michigan licensure required (IMLC consideration or waiting for licensure may be applicable).

  • Optional skill refreshers in general anesthesia, MAC, and regional anesthesia techniques are available.

Responsibilities

  • Float among Clare, Gladwin, and West Branch facilities.
  • Provide anesthesia services primarily at Clare.
  • Respond to calls related to Clare within 1 hour.
  • Participate in a 1:3 call rotation, including 1-2 holidays annually.
  • Cover weeknight calls until 11 PM and weekend calls from 7 AM to 11 PM.
  • Administer general anesthesia, monitored anesthesia care (MAC), and regional anesthesia techniques.
  • Perform procedures including scopes, routine laparoscopic abdominal procedures, ophthalmology (cataract procedures), podiatry, orthopedics, vascular, and cardiology (TEEs and cardioversions).
  • Provide support for ward and emergency department needs, including IV access and airway management.
  • Utilize the EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) system for documentation and patient management.
