About The Position

The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist completes preoperative patient assessments and prepares and maintains necessary tools and resources for procedures. Responsible for evaluation of anesthetic agents used for patients before, during, and after procedures. Actively observe and assess patients throughout the course of procedures and ensures safe patient emergence from anesthetic. Performs supplemental anesthesia duties in situations as needed and directed by anesthesiologist. This role will provide service at St. Luke Medical Center and Holy Family Medical Center, both of which have 2 operating rooms. Saint Mary Medical Center has 5 operating rooms and 2 procedure rooms. The CRNA will be supervised by an anesthesiologist in Galesburg, where approximately 20-30 cases occur daily. Schedule options include 24-hour shifts, two 8-hour shifts, four 10-hour shifts, and five 8-hour shifts.

Requirements

Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing OR Accredited School of Anesthesia
1 year experience as a staff nurse
APN-Advanced Practice RN
BLS from American Heart Association
ACLS from American Heart Association
Certification by American Association of Nurse Anesthetists OR accredited CRNA program
