Locum CRNA
About The Position
This position involves providing anesthesia services as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA). The role includes a combination of clinic duties and potential on-call responsibilities, though on-call is not mandatory. The case mix is approximately 70% inpatient and 30% outpatient procedures. An immediate start is required, with the possibility of extension. The position requires a full-time commitment of 40 hours per week, with flexible scheduling based on departmental needs and provider availability/preferences. Proficiency in a variety of cases including Endoscopy, General Surgery, Obstetrics/Gynecology, Orthopedics, Pain Management, Urology, Vascular Surgery, Pediatric anesthesiology, and Thoracic procedures is expected. Experience with blocks is preferred but not mandatory. Documentation will be done using EPIC for electronic medical records and dictation.
Requirements
- Demonstrated competence in spinal anesthesia.
- Demonstrated competence in epidural blocks.
- Demonstrated competence in venous and arterial catheterization.
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
- National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) certification.
- Documentation of at least 75 cases within the past 12 months.
- Must hold a Michigan medical license or be in the process of obtaining one.

- Experience with blocks is preferred.
