About The Position

We have a government contract for 5 CRNAs at the VA in San Antonio, TX, and are looking to fill 2 additional spots. This is a long-term, full-time position at the Audie Murphy VA Medical Center. The role involves working in a collaborative environment within the Anesthesiology department, which includes 11 ORs, 2 GI Suites, and other specialized areas. The department primarily handles ASA 3-4 cases, excluding Hearts, OB, Peds, and Transplants. A second set of hands is always available if needed. The schedule is Monday to Friday, with rotating shifts and on-call duties.

Requirements

• Any unrestricted state license
• Ability to pass a background check as part of the security process
• Minimum 1-year CRNA experience
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia services at the VA hospital in San Antonio, TX.
• Participate in weekday and weekend on-call duties.
• Respond to call-back situations as needed.
• Collaborate with physician anesthesiologists.
• Work in various operating rooms and procedural suites.
