Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia education program required.
  • Knowledgeable regarding controlled substance policies in accordance with Federal and State laws required.
  • Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania required.
  • Board Certified, Recertified or eligible by the Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists required.
  • CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.
  • AHA-approved ACLS/PALS certifications as required by institution of employ upon hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
  • Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Act 33 with renewal
  • Act 34 with renewal
  • Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal

Responsibilities

  • Provide anesthesia care across a diverse range of surgical specialties including Trauma, Transplant, General Surgery, Neurosurgery, OB Trauma, Orthopedics, Cardiac, Thoracic, Vascular, Urology, ENT, and more.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including surgeons, anesthesiologists, and healthcare professionals.
  • Adhere to controlled substance policies in accordance with Federal and State laws.
  • Maintain required certifications such as CPR, ACLS/PALS, and BLS.
  • Participate in continuous learning and utilize educational resources to stay at the forefront of the anesthesia field.
