About The Position

This is a locum position for a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to provide anesthesia care for a variety of surgical procedures. The role involves conducting pre-anesthesia assessments, developing anesthesia plans, administering anesthesia, and monitoring patients throughout the perioperative phases. Collaboration with the surgical team and accurate documentation are key aspects of this position. The assignment includes 10-hour shifts with no call required and covers a daily volume of 10 cases. The caseload includes bread and butter cases, general surgery, orthopedics, gynecology, plastics, urology, and interventional radiology. Paid travel and expenses are provided.

Requirements

  • Active CRNA certification (NBCRNA)
  • Current Florida APRN license (or ability to obtain)
  • Minimum 1–2 years of independent anesthesia experience preferred
  • Proficiency in regional anesthesia is a plus
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical environment
  • Must be board-eligible or board-certified

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, high-quality anesthesia care for a variety of surgical procedures (general, ortho, GI, OB depending on facility).
  • Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments and develop individualized anesthesia plans.
  • Administer anesthesia (general, regional, MAC) and monitor patients throughout perioperative phases.
  • Collaborate closely with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and perioperative staff.
  • Manage post-anesthesia recovery and ensure smooth patient transitions.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to facility protocols and regulatory standards.
