About The Position

Sarasota Memorial Health Care System is seeking CRNAs with great communication and interpersonal skills to join the Anesthesiology team at Sarasota Memorial Hospital in Sarasota, FL. Highlights of the Opportunity: A full-time CRNA is expected to cover 176 shifts annually, with additional pay for extra shifts. Diverse mix of cases including Cardiac, Endo, General Surgery, Neuro, OB, Oncology, Ortho, Robotics, Spine, Vascular, and Level II Trauma. Staffing model planned is 40+ Anesthesiologists, and 100+ CRNAs covering 70+ sites including Cath Lab, IR, Endo. Average anesthesia volume is 65,000 cases annually. Physicians will have oversight of CRNA’s.

Requirements

Master's or Doctorate degree (DNP or DNAP) of Nurse Anesthesia accredited by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA) Council of উত্তেজনাAccreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs
APRN State of Florida Licensure - maintain active and in good standing throughout employment.
National Board of Certification & Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA)
American Heart Association BLS/PALS/ACLS - maintain active and in good standing throughout employment.
Active BLS/PALS/ACLS certification from American Heart Association
CRNA: Cert Reg Nurse Anesthetist
FL RN: FL Registered Nurse License
ACLS: Advanced Cardiac Life Support
BLS: Basic Life Support
Undergo background screening through The Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.

Responsibilities

Cover 176 shifts annually.
Provide anesthesia care for a diverse mix of cases including Cardiac, Endo, General Surgery, Neuro, OB, Oncology, Ortho, Robotics, Spine, Vascular, and Level II Trauma.
Work in collaboration with Anesthesiologists and other CRNAs.
Administer anesthesia and monitor patients during procedures.
Assess patients before, during, and after anesthesia administration.
Document patient care and anesthesia administration.
Adhere to professional standards of care and institutional standards.
Comply with quality measures.
Maintain effective relationships with medical and administrative staff, patients, and the public.
Communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
Remain calm under pressure and during crisis situations.
Manage stress and fatigue effectively.
Ensure dosage and administration of correct anesthetics to patients.
Demonstrate respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, and colleagues.
Ensure a professional, responsible, and courteous environment.
