About The Position

We are seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for locum tenens coverage in Anesthesiology. This full-time position requires coverage for the months of July and August. The scope of cases includes General Surgery, OB/GYN, Gastroenterology, Orthopedics, and occasional Cardiac Catheterization Lab procedures. The majority of cases will involve Orthopedics and General Surgery. Cardiothoracic and neurological surgeries are excluded. The facility has 2 main operating rooms. The schedule is weekdays, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. A minimum of 10-20 shifts per month is required. Off-site beeper call is mandatory, with an hourly callback stipulation for any recalls. The average credentialing timeline is 30 days, with emergency privileges available for candidates with clean files only.

Requirements

• Active Arizona medical license.
• Clean malpractice history; no prior issues.
• Board certification is mandatory.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Current PALS certification.
• Must possess a valid Arizona medical license.
• Must have clean files only for credentialing.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Cardiac Catheterization Lab procedures.
• Familiarity with a 2-OR surgical setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-time anesthesia coverage for July and August.
• Perform anesthesia for General Surgery, OB/GYN, Gastroenterology, Orthopedics, and occasional Cardiac Catheterization Lab procedures.
• Manage cases primarily in Orthopedics and General Surgery.
• Provide weekday coverage, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
• Fulfill off-site beeper call duties, including hourly callback for recalls.
• Ensure clean files for credentialing, with an average timeline of 30 days, or utilize emergency privileges if available.
