Requirements

  • Full-time, 36-hour-per-week position working three 12-hour overnight shifts every Saturday, Sunday, and Monday from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
  • Personal Support Specialist (PSS) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
  • Current CRMA certification.
  • One or more years experience in geriatrics.
  • Familiarity with memory loss care.
  • BLS within 120 days of hire date.
  • Basic computer skills preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbal and in writing.
  • Ability for high performance under stressful situations.
  • Must be able to prioritize, multi-task and follow through.
  • Able to stand/work for most of an 8-12 hour shift.
  • Must be able to bend/lift 25 - 55 lbs. (assisting residents in and out of bed, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the safe administration of medications.
  • Communication with health care providers.
  • Ensuring the accuracy of physician orders while providing hands-on care and services to meet residents' identified needs.
  • Coordinating with other staff.
  • Implementing each resident’s interdisciplinary service plan.
  • Reporting changes in resident condition.
  • Documenting residents’ physical ability to perform self-care.
  • Observes, documents, and reports all aspects of residents’ activities of daily living, health status, and compliance with physician orders to ensure residents receive the appropriate level of care and support.
  • Helps maintain the highest levels of residents’ physical, psychological, social, and spiritual well-being in accordance with resident service plans and current standards of care.
