CRMA or CNA (Per diem)
About The Position
We are currently seeking compassionate and dependable Certified Residential Medication Aides (CRMA) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) to join our team at our Machias home on a per diem (as-needed) basis. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking flexible scheduling while providing high-quality care and support to our residents. The CRMA/CNA is responsible for assisting residents with activities of daily living, promoting resident independence, and ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of those in our care. CRMAs will also be responsible for administering medications in accordance with physician orders and facility policies. Applicants must hold a current CRMA certification along with either a Personal Support Specialist (PSS) or CNA certification or possess a current CNA certification.
Requirements
- Current Maine CRMA certification and either PSS or CNA certification, or current Maine CNA certification
- Ability to effectively understand and communicate verbally and in writing, in English, is required
- Basic computer skills
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in long-term care or assisted living is preferred, but not required
- Commitment to providing person-centered care and excellent customer service
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility
- Observe and report changes in resident condition to the nursing team
- Provide compassionate care and emotional support to residents
- Assist with meal service and resident nutrition needs
- Maintain accurate documentation as required
- Follow infection control, safety, and resident rights policies
- For CRMAs: Administer medications and treatments as assigned in accordance with state regulations and facility policies
- Work collaboratively with nursing staff and other team members to provide exceptional resident care
