About The Position

Cambridge Rindge and Latin School (CRLS) is seeking teachers for its Summer Preview Programs in English Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies. These programs are designed for CRLS students who will be taking Honors or Advanced Placement classes next school year and are from populations that have historically experienced racial and/or economic marginalization. The Math Preview Program (MPP) specifically aims to foster strong relationships, build academic confidence, and encourage a growth mindset. Each class will review prerequisite skills and preview essential content to ensure a successful start to the academic year, while also incorporating studentship skills such as note-taking, organization, time management, class participation, and self-advocacy. Teachers are expected to utilize differentiated instructional strategies to accommodate a diverse range of learners.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
• Massachusetts certification in grade 9-12 subject matter.
• Experience teaching in an urban, multi-cultural school system with inclusionary practices.
• Meet NCLB highly qualified teacher requirements.
