About The Position

Join us as a board-certified or residency-trained Criticalist at VCA Regional Institute for Veterinary Emergencies and Referrals, and you’ll quickly discover that you’re well supported by world-class medicine, technology, facilities and a talented team. You’ll be empowered to do your best work with a team you can count on. At VCA, the future of veterinary medicine is in our hands. This is a 24-hour emergency/specialty hospital located in Chattanooga, TN, with a 10,000 square foot facility that includes 6 exam rooms and two surgery suites. Our specialties include Surgery, Radiology, Internal Medicine, and Physical Therapy. We are equipped with CT, digital fluoroscopy, and both rigid and flexible endoscopy. The physical therapy department has an underwater treadmill and K laser. We also boast the availability of hyperbaric chamber therapy. The hospital is AHAA accredited and offers access to a network of specialists within VCA. Full and part-time availability exists for this role.

Requirements

  • Board-certified or residency-trained Criticalist
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree, from an accredited university or equivalent
  • Licensure in good standing to practice in (state), or the ability to obtain
