About The Position

CBEM provides holistic support and services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and co-occurring physical and mental health disorders. We get to know the Individuals we serve first, then design a comprehensive plan to address both immediate and long-term needs. Our holistic approach supports both the individuals we serve and their circle of support to maintain stability. CBEM provides prevention, acute and chronic crisis support, training and skill development, family and caregiver support, and Regional Center integration.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Marriage & Family Therapy (MFT), Social Work (MSW), Counseling (Clinical, School, or Guidance), Clinical Psychology, Educational Psychology, or Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
  • One year of experience working with persons with challenging behaviors is required.
  • Experience in the mental health or applied behavior analysis field required.
  • Must have a California Driver’s license in good standing and insurance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting individuals with severe mental illness and/or developmental disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to individuals in crisis; preventative, acute, or chronic crisis management.
  • Develop a Stabilization Plan and Case Review.
  • Consult with a Psychiatrist, BCBA, and Psychologist.
  • Participate in a hotline rotation to address acute crisis calls.
  • Participate in clinical trainings
  • Participate and/or facilitate Interdisciplinary planning meetings.
