Principal Critical Facility Architect provides technical leadership in design, development and implementation of backup power systems, comm rooms, data/control centers and alarm system deliverables. This includes the assessment and optimization of system design and development of user requirements. Provides budgetary estimates for client and IT projects, works with other architect teams, corporate real estate and land agents on technical direction and operational feasibility of solutions that are integrated with the existing or defined IT network architecture and services standards, to meet clearly defined technical performance requirements. Evaluates the need for new solutions, collaborates with the architect teams to create prototypes, and works with network, database, operations, technical support, and other IT departments during development and implementation to enhance system resilience and reliability. Acts as technical lead for critical facility team, engineering team and project management teams implementing projects within the critical facility programs and client projects. All employees are responsible for performing their jobs in accordance with PG&E’s vision and values. This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and an office within the service territory to be determined approximately 2 days per week based on business needs or company requirements.
