About The Position

TEKsystems is seeking Critical Facilities/Maintenance technicians to maintain, monitor, and perform various types of maintenance on critical and non-critical equipment. This role involves working with mechanical systems such as HVAC, plumbing, generators, fire detection and suppression, and building management systems. Electrical responsibilities include managing operations, maintenance, and energy management programs in a critical facilities environment, ensuring compliance with change control procedures. The technician will also be responsible for scheduling, developing, and ensuring quality assurance for preventive and contracted maintenance. Work must be performed in strict accordance with governing MOP/SOP/ERP procedures and maintenance work instructions. The role requires operating and monitoring critical and non-critical system equipment, overseeing third-party contractors, and managing fire alarm systems. Responsibilities include receiving and executing work orders, ordering materials, completing documentation in a computerized maintenance management system, and responding to emergency situations. The technician will monitor building operations, tour properties, and understand the engineering and operational aspects of electrical systems. Evaluating and monitoring the safety procedures of employees and contractors is also a key part of the role, along with responding to emergencies and improving processes for continuous improvement and innovation.

Requirements

Experience in maintaining, monitoring, and performing preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on critical and non-critical equipment.
Experience with mechanical areas including HVAC systems, plumbing installation/maintenance, generator operations, fire detection and suppression, life safety, temperature control systems, building management systems, and digital systems (fire alarm, duress, card access, CCTV).
Experience with electrical responsibilities including plan, implement, coordinate and supervision of all electrical operations, maintenance, and energy management programs for a critical facilities environment.
Experience ensuring conformance with all Change control development, approvals and execution.
Experience with scheduling, development and quality assurance for all preventive maintenance, contracted maintenance, general maintenance.
Experience routinely performing all work in strict accordance with governing MOP/SOP/ERP procedures, and maintenance work instructions.
Experience operating and monitoring critical and non-critical system equipment and components.
Experience overseeing work efforts (including 3rd party contractors) for safe and compliant operation, maintenance (corrective and preventive), and modification of critical equipment.
Experience disabling and enabling fire alarm control panels and systems.
Experience receiving and executing work orders for preventative and corrective maintenance on critical systems and building physical structure.
Experience consulting with Facility Manager or Lead CFT to order necessary materials to complete all maintenance and perform necessary work.
Experience finalizing work orders by completing necessary documentation in the computerized maintenance management system.
Experience responding immediately to emergency situations (fire, evacuation, equipment failure, etc.) and customer concerns.
Experience monitoring building operations and touring properties periodically during scheduled shift.
Experience receiving work order for Preventative and Corrective maintenance on electrical systems and building physical structure.
Experience consulting with supervisors and staff as appropriate to identify and order necessary materials to complete all maintenance and perform necessary work.
Experience finalizing work orders by completing necessary documentation.
Understanding the engineering design and operational aspect of all electrical systems.
Experience evaluating, assigning and monitoring the safe work responsibilities and safety procedures capabilities of employees and contractors.
Experience responding quickly to emergency situations, developing and communicating and improving ADC’s processes to ensure continuous improvement and innovation.
