POSITION SUMMARY Position Summary: The Manager, Critical Diagnosis Programs is responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining a cost-effective system of care for trauma, stroke, sepsis, COPD, chest pain and heart failure patients and their families throughout the continuum of care. This position works independently and in collaboration with the trauma, stroke, sepsis, COPD and chest pain/heart failure program coordinators, medical directors, and other members of the health care team and the management staff. This position serves as a leader for the trauma, stroke, sepsis, COPD, chest pain, and heart failure program performance improvement initiatives. Acts as a clinical resource for all areas caring for trauma, stroke, sepsis, COPD chest, chest pain, and heart failure patients; provides and/or coordinates educational activities for staff; acts as a community and EMS liaison on behalf of the trauma, stroke, sepsis, COPD, chest pain, and heart failure programs and SRHC; and is directly involved in the marketing/promotion of services provided. This position is responsible for consistent oversight and coordination across the multiple Critical Diagnoses service lines. The Manager Director of Critical Diagnosis Programs, is self-directed and self-motivating, plans and conducts work with minimal direction, and reports the progress as appropriate and requested. This position ensures that the Stroke, Trauma, Sepsis, COPD, Chest Pain, and Heart Failure programs remain compliant with all applicable regulatory and accrediting body standards.
