Critical Care Transport-RN (Night Shift)
About The Position
NORCAL Ambulance is seeking experienced Critical Care Transport Nurses (CCTRNs) to join their Bay Area Division in part-time and per-diem positions. This role is part of Northern California’s largest Critical Care Transport provider, with a nurse-led program focused on clinical excellence and patient care. The program offers structured orientation, simulation labs, skills labs, and hands-on preceptorship. Support is available 24/7 from a clinical leadership team and peer network. CCT-trained EMTs collaborate with RNs, and advanced equipment such as Tempus Pro monitors, LTV 1200 ventilators, Airvo high-flow nasal cannula, and Sapphire IV pumps are available to manage critically ill patients, including complex trauma, ICU transfers, and pediatric critical care.
Requirements
- Current California RN license
- Minimum 3 years of recent ER, ICU, or CCT/Flight (RN or EMT-P) experience
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications

Responsibilities
- Manage and provide care to a diverse population of critically ill or injured patients of all ages, including pediatrics, in a mobile environment, one patient at a time
- Function as a leader and mentor to a team of specialty trained CCT EMTs
- Communicate and consult with primary medical providers, facilities, patients and their families, establishing a plan of care based on best practices and standing protocols
