About The Position

NORCAL Ambulance is seeking experienced Critical Care Transport Nurses (CCTRNs) to join our North Valley Division in part-time and per-diem positions. Our nurse-led program emphasizes clinical excellence, strong leadership, and a commitment to safe, exceptional care on every transport. We provide structured orientation, simulation, skills labs, and hands-on preceptorship to ensure success. Once on your own, you'll have 24/7 clinical leadership support and work alongside CCT-trained EMTs. You will utilize advanced equipment such as Tempus Pro monitors, LTV 1200 ventilators, Airvo high-flow nasal cannula, and Sapphire IV pumps to care for a diverse patient population, including complex trauma, ICU transfers, and pediatric critical care.

Requirements

• Current California RN license
• Minimum 3 years of recent ER, ICU, or CCT/Flight (RN or EMT-P) experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications

Responsibilities

• Manage and provide care to a diverse population of critically ill or injured patients of all ages, including pediatrics, in a mobile environment, one patient at a time
• Function as a leader and mentor to a team of specialty trained CCT EMTs
• Communicate and consult with primary medical providers, facilities, patients and their families, establishing a plan of care based on best practices and standing protocols.
