Critical Care Transport Nurse (RN) - Life Reach - Coastal
About The Position
This role involves providing critical care transport nursing services. Responsibilities include assessing patient needs based on collected data, providing age-specific nursing interventions aligned with the plan of care and standards of practice, and fostering a caring and respectful environment for patients, families, and visitors. The nurse will utilize appropriate health and safety equipment, adhere to Nursing Sensitive Quality Indicators, and contribute to departmental performance through precepting and mentoring. Additionally, the role involves contributing to department growth and performance through hospital-system initiatives and Evidence-Based Practices, demonstrating continued professional growth, and floating to assist in other like units as needed. All other duties as assigned are also part of the role.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
- Registered Nurse license.
- Basic Life Support certification.
Nice To Haves
- Advanced resuscitative certification appropriate to population if serving in a charge nurse role.
Responsibilities
- Assessing the needs of the patients as assigned based on data collected through history, observation, physical examination, and analysis of diagnostic data.
- Providing appropriate age specific nursing interventions which are consistent with the plan of care and standards of practice.
- Fostering an environment that demonstrates caring, compassion, and respect for patients, families, and visitors.
- Utilizing appropriate health and safety equipment to protect both patients and staff.
- Utilizing standard work in relation to Nursing Sensitive Quality Indicators.
- Contributing to the overall performance of the department through precepting and mentoring novice employees.
- Contributing to the department growth and performance through hospital-system initiatives cultivating nursing involved Evidence Based Practices.
- Demonstrating continued professional growth through setting goals and participating in educational offerings.
- Floating to assist in other like units as needed.
- Performing all other duties as assigned.
