Capital Health is seeking a Critical Care Technician for its Inpatient Holds unit in Trenton. This full-time position focuses on providing safety and personal care to patients under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Responsibilities include assisting with patient restraints, ensuring safe transfers, following fall precautions, and responding to emergencies. The role also involves providing personal care such as bathing and mouth care, applying basic dressings and stockings, collecting specimens, managing ostomy bags, and accurately recording intake and output. Nutritional support, including feeding patients and monitoring tube feedings, is also a key aspect. The technician will make and document pertinent observations, assist with post-mortem care and CPR, perform phlebotomy, glucometer testing, EKGs, and vital signs. Maintaining a clean and organized environment, stocking supplies, and managing various logs are also part of the duties. The role requires willingness to adapt to changing department needs.
